National Pollution Control Day

A minute of silence for the thousands who lost their lives in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy decades back, is not the genuine mark of Respect we are called to observe today Instead, let this day awaken our minds and hearts to step out of our comfort zones and plunge into action in stopping the Pollution, the trouble monger in short .

Nine out of ten people worldwide do not breathe safe air. This is something unpleasant to hear. With such Pinnacles of pollution how long would it take to see the pollution hazards plummet?

Air pollution kills 7 million people every year globally, 4 million of whom die from indoor air pollution. A microscopic pollutant is so tiny that it can pass through mucus membrane and other protective barriers to damage lungs, heart, and brain.

We live surrounded by particulate matter, a mix of solid and liquid droplets arising from fuel combustion, nitrogen dioxide from road traffic; ozone at ground level, caused by the reaction of sunlight with pollutants from industrial facilities and vehicle emissions; and sulphur dioxide, and invisible gas from burning fossil fuels like coal and the list goes no,,,,,,

So what's your reaction to this is the pertinent question. Wish you could lend a helping hand to reduce this calamity named Pollution-----

Air pollution that has resulted in dramatically unpredictable climate change, the melting Glaciers, the dwindling species of fish in the oceans. The tiny sparrows which we never find in our neighborhood residences are major threats to our healthy existence.

No words to express the depth of sadness, when we find adverts that say, 'Pure oxygen to breathe, available for an hour at RS 299.00, in our pollution free lab"

Do we surrender to this soaring issue or stand up and strengthen hands that are working on sorting this out with permanent solutions?

We talk of Laws, Civic Bodies, Governments, Social Work Organizations, Community Builders, all working on issues of Pollution and it’s important to realize that all of us have a role to play in creating a pollution-free living space.

The time when every human realizes the need to do the best he or she can in reducing or stopping pollution is mission accomplished.
