KALVI TRUST is a registered charitable organisation based in Madurai District of TamilNadu. KALVI TRUST was founded in the year 2006 by a group of socially committed professionals and youth with the vision of catalysing socio-economic change among disadvantaged sections of the society through ensuring quality education to the children. Kalvi is presently involved in development activities such as child development through quality education, language development, educational scholarships; Youth development through Distance education, Vocational education, Skill Building and Employability; women development through entrepreneurship skill development and financial assistance. Kalvi presently works with more than 6000 families in rural areas and urban slums in nine districts – Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Nagapattinam, Coimbatore, Tuticorin, Thirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu state of South India.

Children
  • Increasing the enrolment rate and decreasing the drop-out rate of children especially girl children of weaker section from education           institutions through social motivation
  • Providing adjunct education and training to achieving excellence in education of weaker section
  • Creating awareness and enabling children to avail scholarships and other mainstream services of Government and social sector institutions           towards reducing higher education drop outs
Youth
  • Creating a positive change among the youth of weaker section through awareness about carrier options and opportunities
  • Providing vocational training and skill development courses for youth towards creating employment opportunity and entrepreneurship           among them
  • Support un-employed youth towards availing employment opportunities
  • Networking youth with the skill development opportunities availed in the mainstream institutions towards employment
Women
  • Providing entrepreneurial skills to women of weaker sections towards creating an income generation activity and supporting their family
